  5. Help: Like --trace, but without hex output
  6. Mutexed: trace verbose
  7. Category: verbose
  8. Example: --trace-ascii log.txt $URL
  9. Added: 7.9.7
  10. See-also: verbose trace
  11. Multi: single
  12. Scope: global
  13. ---
  14. Enables a full trace dump of all incoming and outgoing data, including
  15. descriptive information, to the given output file. Use "-" as filename to have
  16. the output sent to stdout.
  17. This is similar to --trace, but leaves out the hex part and only shows the
  18. ASCII part of the dump. It makes smaller output that might be easier to read
  19. for untrained humans.
  20. Note that verbose output of curl activities and network traffic might contain
  21. sensitive data, including user names, credentials or secret data content. Be
  22. aware and be careful when sharing trace logs with others.
