  5. Help: List of hosts which do not use proxy
  6. Added: 7.19.4
  7. Category: proxy
  8. Example: --noproxy "www.example" $URL
  9. See-also: proxy
  10. Multi: single
  11. ---
  12. Comma-separated list of hosts for which not to use a proxy, if one is
  13. specified. The only wildcard is a single * character, which matches all hosts,
  14. and effectively disables the proxy. Each name in this list is matched as
  15. either a domain which contains the hostname, or the hostname itself. For
  16. example, local.com would match local.com, local.com:80, and www.local.com, but
  17. not www.notlocal.com.
  18. Since 7.53.0, This option overrides the environment variables that disable the
  19. proxy ('no_proxy' and 'NO_PROXY'). If there's an environment variable
  20. disabling a proxy, you can set the noproxy list to "" to override it.
  21. Since 7.86.0, IP addresses specified to this option can be provided using CIDR
  22. notation: an appended slash and number specifies the number of "network bits"
  23. out of the address to use in the comparison. For example "192.168.0.0/16"
  24. would match all addresses starting with "192.168".
