  23. .TH CURLOPT_PROXY_CRLFILE 3 "16 Nov 2016" "libcurl 7.52.0" "curl_easy_setopt options"
  24. .SH NAME
  25. CURLOPT_PROXY_CRLFILE \- HTTPS proxy Certificate Revocation List file
  26. .SH SYNOPSIS
  27. .nf
  28. #include <curl/curl.h>
  29. CURLcode curl_easy_setopt(CURL *handle, CURLOPT_PROXY_CRLFILE, char *file);
  30. .fi
  31. .SH DESCRIPTION
  32. This option is for connecting to an HTTPS proxy, not an HTTPS server.
  33. Pass a char * to a null-terminated string naming a \fIfile\fP with the
  34. concatenation of CRL (in PEM format) to use in the certificate validation that
  35. occurs during the SSL exchange.
  36. When curl is built to use NSS or GnuTLS, there is no way to influence the use
  37. of CRL passed to help in the verification process. When libcurl is built with
  38. OpenSSL support, X509_V_FLAG_CRL_CHECK and X509_V_FLAG_CRL_CHECK_ALL are both
  39. set, requiring CRL check against all the elements of the certificate chain if
  40. a CRL file is passed.
  41. This option makes sense only when used in combination with the
  42. \fICURLOPT_PROXY_SSL_VERIFYPEER(3)\fP option.
  43. A specific error code (\fICURLE_SSL_CRL_BADFILE\fP) is defined with the
  44. option. It is returned when the SSL exchange fails because the CRL file cannot
  45. be loaded. A failure in certificate verification due to a revocation
  46. information found in the CRL does not trigger this specific error.
  47. The application does not have to keep the string around after setting this
  48. option.
  49. .SH DEFAULT
  50. NULL
  51. .SH PROTOCOLS
  52. Used with HTTPS proxy.
  53. .SH EXAMPLE
  54. .nf
  55. CURL *curl = curl_easy_init();
  56. if(curl) {
  57. curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_URL, "https://example.com/");
  58. curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_PROXY, "https://localhost:80");
  59. curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_PROXY_CRLFILE, "/etc/certs/crl.pem");
  60. ret = curl_easy_perform(curl);
  61. curl_easy_cleanup(curl);
  62. }
  63. .fi
  64. .SH AVAILABILITY
  65. Added in 7.52.0
  66. .SH RETURN VALUE
  67. Returns CURLE_OK if the option is supported, CURLE_UNKNOWN_OPTION if not, or
  68. CURLE_OUT_OF_MEMORY if there was insufficient heap space.
