  23. .TH CURLOPT_SSLCERT_BLOB 3 "24 Jun 2020" "libcurl 7.71.0" "curl_easy_setopt options"
  24. .SH NAME
  25. CURLOPT_SSLCERT_BLOB \- SSL client certificate from memory blob
  26. .SH SYNOPSIS
  27. .nf
  28. #include <curl/curl.h>
  29. CURLcode curl_easy_setopt(CURL *handle, CURLOPT_SSLCERT_BLOB,
  30. struct curl_blob *stblob);
  31. .fi
  32. .SH DESCRIPTION
  33. Pass a pointer to a curl_blob structure, which contains (pointer and size) a
  34. client certificate. The format must be "P12" on Secure Transport or
  35. Schannel. The format must be "P12" or "PEM" on OpenSSL. The format must be
  36. "DER" or "PEM" on mbedTLS. The format must be specified with
  37. \fICURLOPT_SSLCERTTYPE(3)\fP.
  38. If the blob is initialized with the flags member of struct curl_blob set to
  39. CURL_BLOB_COPY, the application does not have to keep the buffer around after
  40. setting this.
  41. This option is an alternative to \fICURLOPT_SSLCERT(3)\fP which instead
  42. expects a file name as input.
  43. .SH DEFAULT
  44. NULL
  45. .SH PROTOCOLS
  46. All TLS based protocols: HTTPS, FTPS, IMAPS, POP3S, SMTPS etc.
  47. .SH EXAMPLE
  48. .nf
  49. CURL *curl = curl_easy_init();
  50. if(curl) {
  51. struct curl_blob stblob;
  52. stblob.data = certificateData;
  53. stblob.len = filesize;
  54. stblob.flags = CURL_BLOB_COPY;
  55. curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_URL, "https://example.com/");
  56. curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_SSLCERT_BLOB, &stblob);
  57. curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_SSLCERTTYPE, "P12");
  58. curl_easy_setopt(curl, CURLOPT_KEYPASSWD, "s3cret");
  59. ret = curl_easy_perform(curl);
  60. curl_easy_cleanup(curl);
  61. }
  62. .fi
  63. .SH AVAILABILITY
  64. Added in 7.71.0. This option is supported by the OpenSSL, Secure Transport,
  65. Schannel and mbedTLS (since 7.78.0) backends.
  66. .SH RETURN VALUE
  67. Returns CURLE_OK if TLS enabled, CURLE_UNKNOWN_OPTION if not, or
  68. CURLE_OUT_OF_MEMORY if there was insufficient heap space.
