  1. Upgrading Pagure
  2. ================
  3. From 5.10 to 5.11
  4. -----------------
  5. The 5.11 release contains a database schema updates, so:
  6. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  7. (As usual, do your backups before).
  8. New configuration key added (in 5.11.2):
  9. * LOGGING_GIT_HOOKS
  10. From 5.9 to 5.10
  11. ----------------
  12. The 5.10 release does not contain any database schema changes.
  13. The 5.10 release does include a new API ACL, so you may still want to re-run the
  14. createdb script which populates the database with the ACL set in the
  15. configuration file.
  16. New environment variable and configuration key added:
  17. * PAGURE_PLUGIN_CONFIG
  18. Deprecated environment variable:
  19. * PAGURE_PLUGIN
  20. From 5.8 to 5.9
  21. ---------------
  22. The 5.9 release does not contain any database schema changes.
  23. New configuration key added:
  24. * SSH_ACCESS_GROUPS
  25. * ALLOW_API_UPDATE_GIT_TAGS
  26. From 5.7 to 5.8
  27. ---------------
  28. The 5.8 release does not contain any database schema changes nor changes in the
  29. configuration keys.
  30. From 5.6 to 5.7
  31. ---------------
  32. The 5.7 release does not contain any database schema changes nor changes in the
  33. configuration keys.
  34. From 5.5 to 5.6
  35. ---------------
  36. The 5.6 release contains a database schema updates, so:
  37. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  38. (As usual, do your backups before).
  39. New configuration key added:
  40. * CSP_HEADERS
  41. From 5.4 to 5.5
  42. ---------------
  43. The 5.5 release contains a database schema updates, so:
  44. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  45. New configuration key added:
  46. * GIT_HOOK_DB_RO
  47. From 5.3.x to 5.4
  48. -----------------
  49. The 5.4 release does not contain any database schema changes, nor any new
  50. configuration key.
  51. From 5.2 to 5.3
  52. ---------------
  53. The 5.3 release contains a database schema updates, so:
  54. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  55. (As usual, do your backups before).
  56. While working on pagure 5.3, we found that the version of python werkzeug
  57. available in CentOS 7 is too old and makes some of pagure's tests fail. We
  58. recomment it to be upgrade to at least 0.9.6.
  59. New configuration keys have been added:
  60. * ENABLE_TICKETS_NAMESPACE
  61. * FEDORA_MESSAGING_NOTIFICATIONS
  62. * SYNTAX_ALIAS_OVERRIDES
  63. * ALWAYS_STOMP_ON_COMMITS
  64. * ALWAYS_MQTT_ON_COMMITS
  65. * MQTT_TOPIC_PREFIX
  66. From 5.1.x to 5.2
  67. -----------------
  68. The 5.2 release contains a database schema updates, so:
  69. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  70. (As usual, do your backups before).
  71. If you run into issues with the ``hook_mirror``, see the upgrade notes for
  72. the release 5.1.4 below.
  73. Note that the minimal version of pygit2 has been bumped to: 0.26.0
  74. New configuration keys have been added:
  75. * MQTT_NOTIFICATIONS
  76. * MQTT_HOST
  77. * MQTT_PORT
  78. * MQTT_USERNAME
  79. * MQTT_PASSWORD
  80. * MQTT_CA_CERTS
  81. * MQTT_CERTFILE
  82. * MQTT_KEYFILE
  83. * MQTT_CERT_REQS
  84. * MQTT_TLS_VERSION
  85. * MQTT_CIPHERS
  86. * DISABLE_MIRROR_IN
  87. * SSH_ADMIN_TOKEN
  88. * GIT_GARBAGE_COLLECT
  89. * DISABLE_REMOTE_PR
  90. * ADMIN_EMAIL
  91. * LOG_ALL_COMMITS
  92. * ARCHIVE_FOLDER
  93. One configuration key changes its default structure:
  94. * TRIGGER_CI
  95. Changes in dependencies:
  96. * Mimimal version of pygit2 version bumped to: 0.26.0
  97. * Minimal version of openssh set to: 7.4
  98. From 5.1 to 5.1.4
  99. -----------------
  100. In the development of 5.1.4 it was found out that the alembic migration
  101. ``ba538b2648b7`` that creates the ``hook_mirror`` table was incomplete.
  102. If you created that table via alembic, you will likely want to re-run it. Beware
  103. that applying the following commands will destroy any data you have in this
  104. table.
  105. * Mark the database to this migration::
  106. alembic stamp ba538b2648b7
  107. * Remove the ``hook_mirror`` table so it can be re-generated::
  108. alembic downgrade -1
  109. * Re-run that single migration::
  110. alembic upgrade +1
  111. * Marking the database to the last current migration (as of 5.1.4)::
  112. alembic stamp f16ab75e4d32
  113. Again, any project that tried to setup the mirroring feature in pagure will need
  114. to be reconfigured.
  115. Another option (that will prevent loosing any data in this table) is to
  116. adjust the table manually using these SQL queries:
  117. ::
  118. ALTER TABLE hook_mirror ADD COLUMN 'public_key' TEXT;
  119. ALTER TABLE hook_mirror ADD COLUMN 'target' TEXT;
  120. ALTER TABLE hook_mirror ADD COLUMN 'last_log' TEXT;
  121. From 5.x to 5.1
  122. ---------------
  123. The 5.1 release contains a database schema updates, so:
  124. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  125. (As usual, do your backups before).
  126. New configuration keys added:
  127. * ALLOW_ADMIN_IGNORE_EXISTING_REPOS
  128. * ALLOW_HTTP_PULL_PUSH
  129. * ALLOW_HTTP_PUSH
  130. * HTTP_REPO_ACCESS_GITOLITE
  131. From 5.0 to 5.0.1
  132. -----------------
  133. The 5.0 release was missing a database schema migration to add the
  134. ``hook_mirror`` table. This alembic migration has been added, so if you have
  135. note update to 5.0, you will want to update your database schema using:
  136. ``alembic upgrade head``. If you went around this issue by running the
  137. ``pagure_createdb.py`` script, you can mark you database schema up to date using
  138. ``alembic stamp ba538b2648b7``.
  139. From 4.x to 5.0
  140. ---------------
  141. The release 5.0 brings some changes to the database schema.
  142. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  143. New configuration keys added:
  144. * PR_TARGET_MATCHING_BRANCH
  145. * EMAIL_ON_WATCHCOMMITS
  146. * THEME
  147. * GIT_AUTH_BACKEND (replacing GITOLITE_BACKEND, backward compatibility kept for
  148. now)
  149. * REPOSPANNER_PSEUDO_FOLDER
  150. * REPOSPANNER_NEW_REPO
  151. * REPOSPANNER_NEW_REPO_ADMIN_OVERRIDE
  152. * REPOSPANNER_NEW_FORK
  153. * REPOSPANNER_ADMIN_MIGRATION
  154. * REPOSPANNER_REGIONS
  155. * SSH_KEYS_USERNAME_LOOKUP
  156. * SSH_KEYS_USERNAME_EXPECT
  157. * SSH_KEYS_OPTIONS
  158. Configuration deprecated:
  159. * BOOTSTRAP_URLS_CSS
  160. * BOOTSTRAP_URLS_JS
  161. * FILE_SIZE_HIGHLIGHT
  162. * HTML_TITLE
  163. * GITOLITE_BACKEND
  164. Note: Some configuration keys changed their default value:
  165. * LOGGING
  166. * PRIVATE_PROJECTS
  167. * EMAIL_ERROR
  168. * FROM_EMAIL
  169. * DOMAIN_EMAIL_NOTIFICATIONS
  170. * APP_URL
  171. * DOC_APP_URL
  172. * GIT_URL_SSH
  173. * GIT_URL_GIT
  174. * FEDMSG_NOTIFICATIONS
  175. * PAGURE_AUTH
  176. New dependencies:
  177. * trololio (replaces trollius that is no longer a direct dependency)
  178. From 3.x to 4.0
  179. ---------------
  180. The release 4.0 brings some changes to the database schema.
  181. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  182. New configuration keys added:
  183. * EMAIL_ON_WATCHCOMMITS
  184. * ALWAYS_FEDMSG_ON_COMMITS
  185. * SESSION_TYPE
  186. * PROJECT_TEMPLATE_PATH
  187. * FORK_TEMPLATE_PATH
  188. From 3.13 to 3.13.1
  189. -------------------
  190. The release 3.13.1 brings one change to the database schema to remove a database
  191. constraint (pull_requests_check in the pull_requests table) that is not only no
  192. longer needed but even blocking now.
  193. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  194. From 3.12 to 3.13
  195. -----------------
  196. The release 3.13 brings some features and bug fixes but does not have any
  197. changes made to the database schema or new configuration keys. Update should be
  198. straight forward.
  199. From 3.11 to 3.12
  200. -----------------
  201. The release 3.12 brings some changes to the database schema.
  202. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  203. Note that this release bring support for `OpenID
  204. Connect<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenID_Connect>`_ authentication, meaning
  205. pagure can now be deployed with authentication coming from, for example, google.
  206. This brings a number of new configuration keys:
  207. * OIDC_CLIENT_SECRETS
  208. * OIDC_ID_TOKEN_COOKIE_SECURE
  209. * OIDC_SCOPES
  210. * OIDC_PAGURE_EMAIL
  211. * OIDC_PAGURE_FULLNAME
  212. * OIDC_PAGURE_USERNAME
  213. * OIDC_PAGURE_SSH_KEY
  214. * OIDC_PAGURE_GROUPS
  215. * OIDC_PAGURE_USERNAME_FALLBACK
  216. From 3.10 to 3.11
  217. -----------------
  218. The release 3.11 brings some changes to the database schema.
  219. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  220. In addition, if you are deploying pagure with fedmsg support you had to set
  221. fedmsg to the
  222. `active <http://www.fedmsg.com/en/stable/publishing/#publishing-through-a-relay>`_
  223. mode for the workers to be able to send fedmsg messages. This is now the
  224. default and forced configuration.
  225. New API acls:
  226. * commit_flag
  227. * pull_request_subscribe
  228. From 3.9 to 3.10
  229. ----------------
  230. The release 3.10 brings some changes to the database schema.
  231. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  232. From 3.8 to 3.9
  233. ---------------
  234. This release brings a number of bug fixes and features but does not require
  235. any special precaution when upgrading.
  236. From 3.7 to 3.8
  237. ---------------
  238. The release 3.8 brings some changes to the database schema.
  239. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  240. New configuration keys added:
  241. * PROJECT_NAME_REGEX
  242. From 3.6 to 3.7
  243. ---------------
  244. The release 3.7 brings some changes to the database schema.
  245. * Update the data schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  246. New configuration keys added:
  247. * ENABLE_DEL_FORKS
  248. * ENABLE_UI_NEW_PROJECTS
  249. From 3.5 to 3.6
  250. ---------------
  251. New configuration keys added:
  252. * GITOLITE_CELERY_QUEUE
  253. From 3.4 to 3.5
  254. ---------------
  255. New configuration keys added:
  256. * USER_ACLS
  257. * CASE_SENSITIVE
  258. * HTML_TITLE
  259. From 3.3 to 3.4
  260. ---------------
  261. New configuration keys added:
  262. * DEPLOY_KEY
  263. * LOCAL_SSH_KEY
  264. * ALLOW_DELETE_BRANCH
  265. From 3.2 to 3.3
  266. ---------------
  267. [SECURITY FIX]: The 3.3 release contains an important security fix.
  268. If you are using the private project feature of pagure, the gitolite
  269. configuration generated was still granting access to the private projects. This
  270. made the private projects visible and accessible.
  271. After updating to 3.3, ensure your gitolite configuration gets re-generated
  272. (pagure-admin refresh-gitolite can help you with this).
  273. The 3.3 release brings some adjustments to the database schema.
  274. * Update the database schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  275. From 3.1 to 3.2
  276. ---------------
  277. While not being a bug fix, this release has no database schema changes.
  278. However, this release breaks the plugin interface for auth introduced in 3.1 and
  279. changed in 3.1. If you are using pagure-dist-git, make sure to upgrade to at
  280. least 0.4. This interface will be considered stable in 3.4 and announced as
  281. such.
  282. From 3.0 to 3.1
  283. ---------------
  284. While not being a bug fix, this release has no database schema changes.
  285. However, this release breaks the plugin interface for auth introduced in 3.0. If
  286. you are using pagure-dist-git, make sure to upgrade to at least 0.3.
  287. From 2.15 to 3.0
  288. ----------------
  289. The 3.0 version was released with some major re-architecturing. The interaction
  290. with the backend git repo (being the main source repo or the tickets or requests
  291. repos) are now done by a worker that is triggered via a message queue.
  292. This communication is done using `celery <http://www.celeryproject.org/>`_ and
  293. via one of the message queue celery supports (pagure currently defaulting to
  294. `redis <https://redis.io/>`_.
  295. So to get pagure 3.0 running, you will need to get your own message queue (such
  296. as redis) up running and configured in pagure's configuration.
  297. This major version bump has also been an opportunity to rename all the services
  298. to use the same naming schema of pagure-<service>.
  299. The rename is as such:
  300. +------------------+-----------------+
  301. | In 2.x | From 3.0 |
  302. +==================+=================+
  303. | pagure-ci | pagure-ci |
  304. +------------------+-----------------+
  305. | ev-server | pagure-ev |
  306. +------------------+-----------------+
  307. | pagure-loadjson | pagure-loadjson |
  308. +------------------+-----------------+
  309. | pagure-logcom | pagure-logcom |
  310. +------------------+-----------------+
  311. | milters | pagure-milters |
  312. +------------------+-----------------+
  313. | webhook-server | pagure-webhook |
  314. +------------------+-----------------+
  315. | | pagure-worker |
  316. +------------------+-----------------+
  317. .. note:: This last service is the service mentioned above and it is part of
  318. pagure core, not optional unlike the other services in this table.
  319. This release also introduces some new configuration keys:
  320. - ``CELERY_CONFIG`` defaults to ``{}``
  321. - ``ATTACHMENTS_FOLDER``, to be configured
  322. - ``GITOLITE_BACKEND`` defaults to ``gitolite3``, deprecates ``GITOLITE_VERSION``
  323. - ``EXTERNAL_COMMITTER`` defaults to ``{}``
  324. - ``REQUIRED_GROUPS`` defaults to ``{}``
  325. This version also introduces a few database changes, so you will need to update
  326. the database schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``.
  327. From 2.14 to 2.15
  328. -----------------
  329. The 2.15 release brings some adjustments to the database scheme.
  330. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  331. From 2.13 to 2.14
  332. -----------------
  333. The 2.14 release brings some adjustments to the database scheme.
  334. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  335. From 2.12 to 2.13
  336. -----------------
  337. The 2.13 release brings some adjustments to the database scheme.
  338. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  339. From 2.11 to 2.12
  340. -----------------
  341. From this release on, we will have alembic migration script for new table
  342. creation, so there will no longer be a need to use ``createdb.py``
  343. The 2.12 release brings some adjustments to the database scheme.
  344. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  345. From 2.10 to 2.11
  346. -----------------
  347. The 2.10 releases brings some adjustments to the database scheme.
  348. * Create the new DB tables and the new status field using the ``createdb.py``
  349. script.
  350. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  351. From 2.9 to 2.10
  352. ----------------
  353. The 2.10 releases brings some little changes to the database scheme.
  354. Therefore when upgrading to 2.10, you will have to:
  355. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  356. From 2.8 to 2.9
  357. ---------------
  358. The 2.9 releases brings some adjustments to the database scheme.
  359. * Create the new DB tables and the new status field using the ``createdb.py``
  360. script.
  361. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  362. If you are interested in loading your local data into the ``pagure_logs`` table
  363. that this new release adds (data which is then displayed in the calendar heatmap
  364. on the user's page), you can find two utility scripts in
  365. https://pagure.io/pagure-utility that will help you to do that. They are:
  366. * fill_logs_from_db - Based on the data present in the database, this script
  367. fills the ``pagure_logs`` table (this will add: new ticket, new comment, new
  368. PR, closing a PR or a ticket and so on).
  369. * fill_logs_from_gits - By going through all the git repo hosted in your pagure
  370. instance, it will log who did what when.
  371. From 2.7 to 2.8
  372. ---------------
  373. 2.8 brings a little change to the database scheme.
  374. Therefore when upgrading to from 2.7 to 2.8, you will have to:
  375. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  376. From 2.6 to 2.7
  377. ---------------
  378. 2.7 adds new tables as well as changes some of the existing ones.
  379. Therefore when upgrading to 2.7, you will have to:
  380. * Create the new DB tables and the new status field using the ``createdb.py``
  381. script.
  382. * Update the database schame using alembic, one of the upgrade will require
  383. access to pagure's configuration file, which should thus be passed onto the
  384. command via an environment variable:
  385. ``PAGURE_CONFIG=/path/to/pagure.cf alembic upgrade head``
  386. This release also brings a new configuration key:
  387. * ``INSTANCE_NAME`` used in the welcome screen shown upon first login (only with
  388. FAS and OpenID auth) to describe the instance
  389. The API has also been upgraded to a version ``0.8`` due to the changes (backward
  390. compatible) made to support the introduction of `close_status` to issues.
  391. From 2.5 to 2.6
  392. ---------------
  393. 2.6 brings quite a few changes and some of them impacting the database scheme.
  394. Therefore when upgrading from 2.4 to 2.6, you will have to:
  395. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  396. From 2.4 to 2.5
  397. ---------------
  398. 2.5 brings quite a few changes and some of them impacting the database scheme.
  399. Therefore when upgrading from 2.4 to 2.5, you will have to:
  400. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  401. From 2.3 to 2.4
  402. ---------------
  403. 2.4 brings quite a few changes and some of them impacting the database scheme.
  404. Therefore when upgrading from 2.3.x to 2.4, you will have to:
  405. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  406. This update also brings some new configuration keys:
  407. * ``VIRUS_SCAN_ATTACHMENTS`` allows turning on or off checking attachments for
  408. virus using clamav. This requires pyclamd but is entirely optional (and off by
  409. default)
  410. * ``PAGURE_CI_SERVICES`` allows specifying with which CI (Continuous
  411. Integration) services this pagure instance can integrate with. Currently, only
  412. `Jenkins` is supported, but this configuration key defaults to ``None``.
  413. From 2.2 to 2.3
  414. ---------------
  415. 2.3 brings a few changes impacting the database scheme, including a new
  416. `duplicate` status for tickets, a feature allowing one to `watch` or
  417. `unwatch` a project and notifications on tickets as exist on pull-requests.
  418. Therefore, when upgrading from 2.2.x to 2.3, you will have to :
  419. * Create the new DB tables and the new status field using the ``createdb.py`` script.
  420. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  421. This update also brings a new configuration key:
  422. * ``PAGURE_ADMIN_USERS`` allows to mark some users as instance-wide admins, giving
  423. them full access to every projects, private or not. This feature can then be
  424. used as a way to clean spams.
  425. * ``SMTP_PORT`` allows to specify the port to use when contacting the SMTP
  426. server
  427. * ``SMTP_SSL`` allows to specify whether to use SSL when contacting the SMTP
  428. server
  429. * ``SMTP_USERNAME`` and ``SMTP_PASSWORD`` if provided together allow to contact
  430. an SMTP requiring authentication.
  431. In this update is also added the script ``api_key_expire_mail.py`` meant to be
  432. run by a daily cron job and warning users when their API token is nearing its
  433. expiration date.
  434. 2.2.2
  435. -----
  436. Release 2.2.2 contains an important security fix, blocking a source of XSS
  437. attack.
  438. From 2.1 to 2.2
  439. ---------------
  440. 2.2 brings a number of bug fixes and a few improvements.
  441. One of the major changes impacts the databases where we must change some of the
  442. table so that the foreign key cascade on delete (fixes deleting a project when a
  443. few plugins were activated).
  444. When upgrading for 2.1 to 2.2 all you will have to do is:
  445. * Update the database scheme using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  446. .. note:: If you run another database system than PostgreSQL the alembic
  447. revision ``317a285e04a8_delete_hooks.py`` will require adjustment as the
  448. foreign key constraints are named and the names are driver dependant.
  449. From 2.0 to 2.1
  450. ---------------
  451. 2.1 brings its usual flow of improvements and bug fixes.
  452. When upgrading from 2.0.x to 2.1 all you will have to:
  453. * Update the database schame using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  454. From 1.x to 2.0
  455. ---------------
  456. As the version change indicates, 2.0 brings quite a number of changes,
  457. including some that are not backward compatible.
  458. When upgrading to 2.0 you will have to:
  459. * Update the database schema using alembic: ``alembic upgrade head``
  460. * Create the new DB tables so that the new plugins work using the
  461. ``createdb.py`` script
  462. * Move the forks git repo
  463. Forked git repos are now located under the same folder as the regular git
  464. repos, just under a ``forks/`` subfolder.
  465. So the structure changes from: ::
  466. repos/
  467. ├── foo.git
  468. └── bar.git
  469. forks/
  470. ├── patrick/
  471. │  ├── test.git
  472. │  └── ipsilon.git
  473. └── pingou/
  474. ├── foo.git
  475. └── bar.git
  476. to: ::
  477. repos/
  478. ├── foo.git
  479. ├── bar.git
  480. └── forks/
  481. ├── patrick/
  482. │  ├── test.git
  483. │  └── ipsilon.git
  484. └── pingou/
  485. ├── foo.git
  486. └── bar.git
  487. So the entire ``forks`` folder is moved under the ``repos`` folder where
  488. the other repositories are, containing the sources of the projects.
  489. Git repos for ``tickets``, ``requests`` and ``docs`` will be trickier to
  490. move as the structure changes from: ::
  491. tickets/
  492. ├── foo.git
  493. ├── bar.git
  494. ├── patrick/
  495. │  ├── test.git
  496. │  └── ipsilon.git
  497. └── pingou/
  498. ├── foo.git
  499. └── bar.git
  500. to: ::
  501. tickets/
  502. ├── foo.git
  503. ├── bar.git
  504. └── forks/
  505. ├── patrick/
  506. │  ├── test.git
  507. │  └── ipsilon.git
  508. └── pingou/
  509. ├── foo.git
  510. └── bar.git
  511. Same for the ``requests`` and the ``docs`` git repos.
  512. As you can see in the ``tickets``, ``requests`` and ``docs`` folders there
  513. are two types of folders, git repos which are folder with a name ending
  514. with ``.git``, and folder corresponding to usernames. These last ones are
  515. the ones to be moved into a subfolder ``forks/``.
  516. This can be done using something like: ::
  517. mkdir forks
  518. for i in `ls -1 |grep -v '\.git'`; do mv $i forks/; done
  519. * Re-generate the gitolite configuration.
  520. This can be done via the ``Re-generate gitolite ACLs file`` button in the
  521. admin page.
  522. * Keep URLs backward compatible
  523. The support of pseudo-namespace in pagure 2.0 has required some changes
  524. to the URL schema:
  525. https://pagure.io/pagure/053d8cc95fcd50c23a8b0a7f70e55f8d1cc7aebb
  526. became:
  527. https://pagure.io/pagure/c/053d8cc95fcd50c23a8b0a7f70e55f8d1cc7aebb
  528. (Note the added /c/ in it)
  529. We introduced a backward compatibility fix for this.
  530. This fix is however *disabled* by default so if you wish to keep the URLs
  531. valid, you will need to adjust you configuration file to include: ::
  532. OLD_VIEW_COMMIT_ENABLED = True
