  28. is a user-level file system that
  29. acts as the authentication agent for a user.
  30. It does so by managing a set of
  31. .IR keys .
  32. A key is a collection of information used to authenticate a particular action.
  33. Stored as a list of

  35. pairs, a key typically contains a user, an authentication domain, a protocol, and
  36. some secret data.

  75. in conjunction with a cryptographic protocol.
